We will be hosting our very first film forum on Thursday, February 5th. This is a screen-it-yourself style movie club, and at the first meeting we will be discussing our comfort movies!

To get in the Valentine’s Day spirit, we will be hosting another book exchange, but we will only be exchanging romance books this time! The program will be on Thursday, February 12th at 6:00 PM. All you need to do is wrap a romance book and bring it in to exchange. Please make sure the book you bring is in new or like-new condition – this means there should be no damage or wear to the book. No registration is necessary for this program – as long as you bring a book, you’ll leave with a book!

We are also hosting multiple teen programs throughout the month of February – including a teen lock-in on Tuesday, February 17th from 7 to 11 PM (during Presidents’ Day Recess at Attica Central Schools). At this event, participating teens will get the chance to hangout, play games, watch movies, listen to music, make crafts, and eat food! Each teen will receive a treat bag and a few of the games we play will have cool prizes. Interested teens must have a parent or guardian fill out the permission slip at the following link and drop it off at the library by February 14th: https://attica.owwl.org/wp-content/uploads/sites/39/2026/01/Lock-in-Permission-Slip.pdf

In celebration of Black History Month, we are showing a different movie each week related to black culture or black history. Most of the movies we’re showing will be on Fridays at 12:00 PM, but we are planning to have a special showing of The Princess and the Frog on Saturday, February 21st at 11:00 AM with themed snacks and crafts. We hope you consider joining us!

As always, Chess Club (Wednesdays at 5:00), LearKnit (Tuesdays at 4:00), and Storytime (Mondays at 5:00) will be every single week, and Jane’s Book Club Gathering will be on Thursday, February 26th at 5:30 PM. The next meeting for our Romance Book Club will be on Thursday, February 19th at 5:00 PM, and we will be discussing Fruit of the Flesh by I.V. Ophelia.

We can’t wait to see you at the Library this February! Happy reading! Try to keep warm!
